My Teaching Philosophy
My passion for teaching is one of the reasons I chose a career in higher education. I believe students learn best through active engagement with real-world challenges, and I strive to create learning environments where ideas can be explored, applied, and shared. Because my teaching and research both focus on how people learn and collaborate, I enjoy helping students connect theory and practice. Mentoring is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work, and I value supporting students as they develop into confident professionals, researchers, and leaders.
Current Courses
Z514: Social Aspects of Information Technology: The objective of this course is to help students think critically and constructively about information technology and its relationship to work, leisure, and society at large. The course will explore the ways in which a wide range of academics, activists, and opinion-leaders talk about the nature and uses of information technology in a number of settings.
Z556: Systems Analysis and Design: Using a user-centered approach to information systems, this course covers information systems designed to conform to the needs of users.
